My doctor is away skiing.

I'll keep it short:
Sinus infection x past 2 weeks
Migraine on Thurs.
Trip to ER for pain Thurs midnight
was given IV with some pain reliever in it
pain in abdomen, all over around 4 am
vomiting and diarrhea from 6-9 am
headache, stomachache all Friday, weak
Saturday no headache, pains in abdomen, moving down into legs
Today, Sunday, tired, no pain, but vomited and everything tastes weird, like metal.

Doing 2 injections a day, 1 mg of Keflex for sinus infection.

Any clues? Am I dying? Or just crazy?

Dear Heart o Darkness,
Wow, you are doing big problems to yourself, for the sake of curing your sinus problems. I believe in my heart that Keflex is causing you more misery than it is curing, and WAY TOO MUCH time and money.
Most of us, because of the climate we live in, have sinus problems, either A.Too much phlegm, or B. Infected phlegm.
Too much phlegm draining into your stomach can cause indigestion and vomiting. Too much sinus fluids in your head always leads to headaches. Keflex contradictions (symptoms caused by injesting a medication into body) can and usually include weakness, light-headedness, abdominal cramps, pains moving down leged, tiredness, and vomiting.
What I recommend is that you go immediately to a health-food store and purchase a bottle of Echinacea & Goldenseal drops. Each morning you put 5 drops in your coffee or tea or juice. And do this for 10 days. For you, I would do this the first 10 days of each month. (After opening the bottle, it must be refrigerated) This stuff costs about $7.99. What it does is eliminate sinus infection, reduce phlegm production to normal, and it gives your immune system a boost. I have SEVERE sinus problems. I started using this 3 years ago and have never had any more sinus problems, colds, flu, headaches, abdominal cramps, or vomiting! Hope this helps you!

See another Dr. for a diagnosis. If it is a sinus infection, ask him/her to prescribe a course of prednisone (if you aren't allergic) along with antibiotics. The prednisone will relieve the inflammation in your sinuses, open everything up, and will help the antibiotics to work better. But it sounds as if you may have more than just a sinus infection. Go see a Dr., not the ER.

The meds you're taking may be causing the metallic taste in your mouth.

lol You're not crazy. I had a sinus infection a few months ago and those were my same symptoms. It took about 2-3 weeks to clear up. Don't worry it may take a little longer for you. You did mention that the pain has gone away. But the nasty taste in your mouth is from your draining sinuses and vomiting. Vomiting brings a small amount of the acid in your stomach back up.

There is a couple of bugs going around right now, one is the throwing up thing the other is sinus/upper respiratory infection, that in some folks I know has turned into double ear infections etc. Part of it is virus some of it is bacterial so take your antibiotics until they are gone and rest, drink lots of fluids as the doctor I am sure told you. You are not alone!!

Stomach flu / Viral gastroenteritis? Antibiotics are ineffective for viral infections.
Please note that I am not a medical professional.

What and where did you eat before this happened? Someone could have tried to poison you.
