I am a straight A student and compete at national level sports. Recently, i've been very obsessed with Kickboxing, I find it hard to concentrate on my studies. I have major exams in September and the world championship is in August. I agree with time management.. but I just find it hard to concentrate..

Discipline is hard when a person's focus is all over the place. Maintain a daily routine as best as you can. Avoid too much physical activities (such as kickboxing) prior to bedtime, as that could affect your sleep drastically. But you don't have to beat yourself up for thinking about kickboxing constantly. Often guilt and concern over unrelated matters are what make it difficult to concentrate while studying.

First you need interest.Without interest if you study it would be a waste of time.You need to control your thoughts.For that try this breathing exercise.Sit comfortably in a calm place.Close your eyes and start counting your inhalation and exhalation slowly.Your mind will deviate,other thoughts will invade but try.BUT DON'T FORCE your mind.You will get used to it.Now you need to prioritize.What will happen if you don study you may get bad grade which you don want to happen.Get good grades.Later on kickboxing will be much more exciting and peaceful. Don regret later.

Divide the work you need to do, into daily segments .

Set aside a TARGET of two hours work per day
( no more== no less !)

Stick to that , and you will still have lots of time for your kick-boxing , which is also important to you .

Make sure you have , rest and relaxation too,
So you are fit, for both challenges .

Good luck

reward your studying with breaks, it can't all be work, work, work. Do a couple of hours of study and then go off kick-boxing - that way you'll achieve both. Staying focused for small amounts of time is much easier when you have something to look forward to and you take more in.

Good luck

try meditation. it should be right in line with the kick boxing philosophies, depending on where you have trained. and an easier way out would be to get a script for adderol it is like ritalin and has an amphetamine kind of side affect that lifts you up. these can be somewhat addictive, though and you need to be careful with them.
