My rat terrier is 1 year old and loves to play, with us and with other dogs. Is it time for us to get her a playmate?

We recently bought a new puppy. We've had a Carin Terrier for 5 yrs before that. At first they kind of separated themselves from each other, but now they get along great and the puppy seemed to have put some more liveliness into our older dog. Your dog would probably love a playmate you should make sure they get along first though, before buy him/her.

Get another if you want it's up to you, the dog will probably be pleased to have a playmate

It all depends on how big your yard is if you can yes get a playmate but not of the same sex territory will Be a problem then,have fun

Dogs are pack animals and will do well together espcially if they are left for long periods of time everyday, such as you and family work or go to school. This however does not relieve you of spending time with your dogs and providing leadership to them.
