Yes, hot showers can damage your hair if you have them a lot. Why don't you just have a hot shower when not washing your hair. On the other hand, luke warm showers can make it really shiny. And cold showers are good too (but that's asking a bit too much in the winter!)
Good luck!

Generally, yes. Most showers are damaging but not because of the water temperature. There is chlorine in the water that damages hair. Hot water opens the pores of your hair shaft and dry it out. Make sure that you put on sufficient conditioner. Cold water closed the hair shaft and adds shine. I would suggest washing your hair with normal hot water shower and then rinsing out the conditioner in cold water. Your hair will be less damages and shinny.

YES! They absolutely do! All tap water conatins chlorine which dries out your hair! You need a shower filter. There is a new one coming out called iWater, which is supposed to be amazing. Its got ion technology and removes 99.9% of the chlorine. Its only about $40 to $50 dollars and you'll be able to get it at Walgreens..and I think HSN (Home Shopping Network). Everyone should use something like iWater!

I am pretty sure that showers themselves do not actually damage the hair... it mostly is if you use shampoo often or not... to keep healthier hair try to reduce shampoo usage during a shower... that and gel... gel and shampoo (mostly) are the culprits of giving people dandruff!!!

Um,it ought to. So in case you desire to take an exceptionally warm bathe, i might conceal my hair with certainly one of those bathe caps, and then wash my hair in the sink with luke heat water. this is extra perfect on your hair, and it will make it shinier.

I'm not quite sure, but i have heard that the final rinse should be with cold water to close your cuticles.
