because socially being a little overweight or plus sized is "not attractive". therefore if a man happens to like that he wont dare admit it in front of his friends.

Because, thanks to the fashion magazines and the skeleton-obsessed entertainment industry, any guy who likes a rounder, softer woman is open to ridicule from the lemmings who only know what they're told by these sources. It's amazing how many people can't think for themselves.
I took a novel approach. I came out and told my friends about 6 years ago that I'm strongly attracted to 200+ pound women, and if they don't like it they can go get fracked. They honestly didn't care, and they even point out BBWs to me know and say "Whoa, dude...you'd do her!". And I say "You're damned right I would.". No shame, no embarassment.
More men love plus-sized women than those women have ever suspected. We're everywhere!

Plus sized women are easier to live with. Less maintenance, more payback. So called "normal" women whomever they might be are too busy being struck on themselves and thinking somebody owes them something for being beautiful. As far as hiding them in front of friends, they are not friends worth having if your afraid to show them the woman your with.

Well... I don't like it per se, so I don't hide anything.
All the women I have ever loved happened to be of normal size, and I don't find plus-sized women particularly attractive.
But it really depends on the personality too... just because I haven't met a fat woman that blew my mind away does not mean I never will.

It is called looksism. There is much discrimination against plus size women in our society.
Instead of getting to know someone for the person they are, we fail to look beyond physical appearances.
And by the way, overweight people have feelings, too. And they can hear those snide remarks people make. How would any of you like to be treated that way?

Because of answers like crzy cowboy. Being "plus-sized" is not acceptable in the skinny world and they are ashamed of it. That is why they hide it. Why do they do that? I don't know. It saddens me that we are so judgmental (I am not that way) as humans. Why can't we just love each other with always pointing out others faults? Why do we have to "dip" into their lives? Their decisions, their problems. Leave them alone.

I think men are actually atracted to more curvy women simply because it is in thier human nature to procreate. Women who are more curvaciosu with hips have a better chance at birthing children. Women who are flat chested and skin and bones are unhealthy and therefore would not make good mates. That is looking at it from a natural animal kingdom stance. but too overweight will not attract. I am talking big chested wide hips and smaller waist in the middle.

It's really embarassing to go against the accepted norm, especially for what is attractive. I find all sort of odd things attractive, but I generally wont admit them to my friends, and I will avoid it if i can find someone that fits the easier "willing to take into public" category, so i don't have to be bothered with stares and being ridiculued.
true, love should make you ignore such things, but at the beginning, does that really matter?

like the joke goes..... how are plus sized women and mopeds alike? they're both fun to ride until your friends find out, shallow joke, i say love laugh and live - life is too short to hide from, if you love someone tell them so.....

men fall in love with women's personalities. if he does hide it from friends maybe his friends are shallow and he doesnt want them to talk bad about someone he cares about.
