get hold of a decent cd burner ('Nero', for example), and choose to burn the tracks as an 'audio' cd rather than any other format (e.g. data, vcd), and also make sure that you're burning the tracks to a CD-R rather than a CD-RW (as the latter won't play on all CD players).

you can probably get hold of a freeware burner (try www.majorgeeks.com) if you look hard enough.

if you're using XP, and really insist on using Windows Media Player (which is crap for burning, by the way), try selecting all of the files that you want to burn (hold 'ctrl' while you select them all with your mouse), and then right-click them and choose 'copy to CD or device' from the menu that appears.

Media Player should then open up and display a list of the files that you selected.

make sure that you choose 'audio cd' from the 'items on device' menu before clicking the copy button.

you should still use a CD-R rather than a CD-RW, by the way.

only ever done this through XP Pro, so it might be different on another a version of Windows.

Hope this helps.

Hiya

You didn't say what software you are using to burn your CD's eg, 3WIndows media, etc. Limwire mostly has MP3's on it, and if you burn them in that format, your CD player may not support it. If you haven't already got them then download a free copy of windows media player or REAL (www.real.com), select your files and then select burn to an audio CD, this will then convert them from mp3s to wma files and you can play them on anything, you should be able to fit abt 17 songs to a CD

Hope this helps, good luck

It may be that your CD player does not play mp3 songs, try changing the format of the songs or trying the CDs on another persons stereo to see if its your CD player.

I'm using Ashampoo to burn cds and dvds. Compared to other free burners it's easy to use and it works with any type of files. Link here: http://j.mp/1lAV2lr
