I've liked this really pretty girl for a long time so I decided to send her a letter to tell her how I felt about her. She replied to my letter but she misspelled so many words that I have since lost interest in her. What do you think of that?

To answer instig8tor's question, she lives about 500 miles away from me. That's why I wrote her a letter. So you can put your attitude back in the box, thank you very much.

No, that's not being too shallow. Different people find different traits in another person attractive, whether it's looks, fashion sense, or intelligence. Her bad grammar probably makes her seem less intelligent to you.
Personally, I can't stand corresponding with a woman who expresses herself badly in text either. It makes me feel like she's sloppy and unattractive...even if I think she's a "10" physically. That's simply a trait that matters to you...the reason why it matters isn't very important, because her letter already adversely affected you.
If you've lost interest in her because of this, then move on. There are plenty of women who know how to spell. :)

well you could go back to school and ask the English teacher on a date . they seem to spell very well.
there is no sense being with a hot woman if she her spelling is not perfect. You know if you were to date such a girl what would this world come to men and women would date each other and even marry without a thought about how well the other spells or worse uses correct grammar when writing.
No sir you were right to leave that girl . Let someone else have the girls who are hot but spell poorly . who needs them

why should you be turned off. not to be rude but you had to write a letter to tell her instead of talking to her. now because she misspelled to many words you don't like her. i would have an issue with the fact you couldn't talk to me and you had to send me a note like a kid in school or something. good luck make your choices by your heart not your head.

I don't think it is shallow at all. I am by no means perfect. I have my fair share of spelling mistakes and bad grammar. But I agree with you. Bad grammar and spelling can be a major turn off to me.

Yes i think you should have given her a chance, she might of been nervous and was writing the letter to fast, hence making mistakes. Are you that perfect that you dont make mistakes?

Maybe you can tutor her on her spelling, and when you are done with that, then you can "school" her in the bedroom?
Yes, your reaction seems a tad bit shallow.

No, it's not shallow. But maybe she's trying to let you know subtly that she doesn't share your feelings by misspelling on purpose.

No you are not shallow and she is not at your mental level so losing intrest in her is normal. I remember a joke by Ron White, you can fix ugly but you can't fix stupid!
