I was in the army stationed in germany for 2 years and fell in love with shnitzel, it was like a chicken fried steak only made from lamb chop i believe, any one help plz

Schnitzel
Yum! Given to me by a German neighbor, very simple and delicious!

Makes 4 servings
4 butterfly pork or lamb chops
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper
3/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
2 eggs, beaten

Wash meat and dry on paper towel. Beat eggs with egg beater until doubled in size.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dip in flour, then beaten eggs and in the bread crumbs. Heat butter crisco in large skillet and place schnitzel in pan.
Brown well on both side in pan on medium heat for abut 15 to 20 munutes

The best schnitzel is made from a boneless veal cutlet that's been pounded thin. Dip the cutlet in flour, then beaten egg and then seasoned or plain bread crumbs. Fry in oil until crisp and serve with steamed potatoes. Yummy!
