Or if you don't become angry, what irritates you? And if you get angry is this your choice or do others control the mechanism which triggers your emotional well being? Do you have their permission to surrender such power to them?
Does your spiritual situation play a role in how you express yourself when others do not line up with how you wish your world would be? Or do you get just as angry as a Christian as before you were A Christian (or other spiritual identity)?
I'm doing a study on the role that anger plays in our lives. Theists, atheists,agnostics...all welcome to respond...thanks

Devora K? most people know what I'm talking about when I say mad, but thank you for the grammar lesson. But if the only thing that annoys you is when people disrespect the ten commandments and the golden rule then you should have no problem with what my obvious intent was right?

Injustice or unfairness are the two central issues that make me angry. I am a person with fairly good self control so my anger in usually expressed in words rather than action. I have never had anger problems before Christianity so the change for me was very mild and I am only slightly calmer than I was before. I attribute that to a better understanding of what is happening in the spiritual realm and it is more directed at Satan than people. Like all people I have my moments and snap back with rude comments but remorse is not usually far behind with an apology.

That's funny you ask this because that is my New Year's resolution, not to get mad about things, not to react but to always stay cool and calm no matter what. I know with me I was the youngest of 5 and had a mean alcoholic father, so I was certainly picked on alot, to say the least. Things trigger my anger like you said and I am trying to find out what they are so that I can control them. One of them I know is hurt feelings. If someone hurts my feelings, I can't control my anger or my mouth. I am a Christian, by the way, and I know the Lord will help me with this since He has helped me to conquer so many other things in my life. But we have to want to change and make the effort, then He will bless it. That's my Christian view on the subject. Hope it helps.

Firstly if you are doing a study use the word angry as mad means crazy. I am a Jew and the only thing that annoys me is people who do not respect the Ten Commandments and or the Golden Rule

I rarely get angry or raise my voice, but when I do the reason is usually either of the two:
1. When I'm working in a team, and ONE person refuses to cooperate.
2. When someone drinks milk out of a carton!

myself!! I get frustrated when theres something i can't overcome or let go of it so much that i dwell on it and it makes me feel ver ill, or i get angry. No one really knows my buttons to push to make e angry though, i'm pretty good at being patient with others how ever much the would like me to loose it, unless I choose to allow them to see me angry. But I don't normally.

As propertarian as it is: When I work hard to make an 'ok' living, and people that make no effort to adapt to their environment expect me to be generous. I feel bitter and guilty about how I feel, and that accelerates the anger/frustration; people should be a ble to have what they need... but if they don't try, why pity them?

When someone does not listen to me when we are talking. Telling someone something & in a second they ask me what I just said which proves they are not listening.
