what can I do to treat a knot in my vein?

when i had my baby I received an iv, and now i have a knot at the site six months later. What is the best way to treat this problem

There is no such thing a a "knot" in your vein. It is scar tissue from the IV needle likely. Go see your family doctor especially if it hurts.
