we called our dog chippy because when we got him i was cooking chips and accidentaly dropped a frozen chip to which he proceded to eat..... if your dog does something different or unexpected or funny then name him/her with it l.o.l. ;)

You could name him/her after your favorite place. Like a city or a river. My friend named her dog Teeton after the Teeton mountains.
Check out a dog name site for names. There are tons of them so you'd probably find one you like.

We have a male black lab we named Cooey. labs are hunting dogs,cooey was a gun manufacturer. Shadow or scout are great lab names to.
