Get him to the vet NOW! It sounds like bloat, and it can kill a dog very quickly.

Take him to the vet immediately! It could be a number of medical problems, all of them very serious. There's nothing you can do at home to fix this; he needs to be seen by a vet right now.
If it's bloat, time is of the essence. It's a doggie medical emergency!

This sounds like Bloat, which can be deadly to a dog. Gas builds up in the intestines and causes them to twist, which can cause a blockage (think of tying balloon animals). This blockage can kill your dog in a painful way.
Please, get him to a vet IMMEDIATELY.
