i have never woke up in one, i tried to ride Rita out and it was the dumbest thing Ive ever done, shingles flying every were trees falling over, house shaking, windows busting, and etc.,sounded like a jet was in my backyard for 3 hours while the eye wall went over, the next three weeks with no water,power, or gas just me in a box with the wife bitching at me for not evacuating and no it didn't make me surrender to the torrent and if you can fall back to sleep with all that going on there is something really wrong with you my friend

When I lived in florida I used to sleep through them. Once in a while they would roll through in the day time and then I would go outside and watch stuff flying all over and throw frisbees to see how far they will go etc...
