Daft Question thats like saying God Made TB for the sin or breahting, Samonella for the sin of eating eggs, and rabies for having pet dogs.

Gods, santa claus, the tooth fairy don't exists.

Viruses and Germs do. Its like a business . One bug mutates and if finds itself a weakness to exploit like say people needing something to clip paper together it takes hold.

You can get AIDS from blood splashed in eyes, or from another person... Say doing first Aid or being really unlucky to brusch against the same nail somone who had aids just did getting cut and the blood going in.

So are doctors now sinners?

Also mums can give it to babies so what the baby do?

So you can both be virgins and still get it along with a whole host of other STIs.

Its just the ones that occupy your girlie or guy bits happen to be often nasty.

And relgions wanting to exploit gullible fools with fear and notions of their nasty moral code say its gods will.

Thats a bit like me going somewhere some tribe worshiped the sun, knowing there was going to be an eclipse and saying ... Lord Sun god show me a sign if you want this people to worship me and do whatever I say and the men to dress as pantomine horses and the girls to alternate on topless or bottomless days and all kiss me.

Hey presto and no sun, then I say give me another sign and all the idiots worship me as their new demi god...

Same con...

PS whats so specail about wedlock? you seen the divorce rate? if it was so good people would not want to divorce or kill their spouce or leave and you would not get domenstic violence and abused kids in marriages.

As for the poster above talking about gays/lesbians... Aids spreads faster in hetro communities at present and also you get gay sheep and other animals... Usually a small percentage like left handers who forfill a 'pack role' ie funny how many are good in entertainment/creative/social/entertaining kids industries... not to mention birth control so we dont run out of food and space

HIV is a virus that if left untreated will lead to full blown AIDS. It is not a curse from some supernatural "other" and infects anybody without discrimination. The virus does not decide to infect those people who have sex outside of marriage - as a virus it is unable to detect wedding rings or rifle through the wedding album to ensure that the "victim" deserves infection.

Having sex, whether in or out of wedlock, is fraught with the risk of Sexually Transmitted Infections. Marriage is not a safeguard, condoms are. Marriage does not equal fidelity!

The ignorance of some of the answers to your less than informed question saddens and angers me. The attitudes shown are dangerously stupid and I sincerely hope these people do not contract any form of chronic illness, via sexual transmission or not - there is no God to help them, they will have to rely on the compassion and humanity of others, then they will learn the true nature of humanity.

I've always thought it a good piece of scientific evidence for the Darwinian Theory of evolution on earth. After all, it started out in primates, mutated or evolved and crossed over to infect humans. Probably lots easier than the bird flu will make that step, if indeed it ever does. And why? Because genetically we're a lot closer to apes than we are to birds.

No, it is NOT a curse in the sense that God spoke from on high and said, "ZAP! Take THAT, you blasted brats!". Yes, it is a curse in the sense that there's little good coming from it and lots of pain and anguish.

Mother Theresa said: "[AIDS] is a just retribution for improper sexual misconduct." Jerry Falwell went further, objecting to medical treatment: "AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals. To oppose it would be like an Israelite jumping in the Red Sea to save one of Pharaoh's chariotters."

What a shame so many Christians think "God" is as stupid and cruel as they are.

There is no god, she doesnt exist, so a curse cant come from her.

Its all to do with the fragility of the planet earth and the survival of the species.

The fact that groups exercising same gender sex seemed to have allowed the virus to get a hold points to nature thinking ' these two guys do not have a meaning in life to reproduce, therefore they are expendable........... nature creates a virus to eradicate useless beings' . Of course its now more widespread now and affects other human beings who perhaps spread their wings too far.
Again its human natures way of ensuring diversity in the species... if you have just one person impregnating all others then you end up with a bunch of misfits.

This isnt being offensive to people who are otherwise inclined, in there sexual deviations, its just outlining the fact that we are all animals whose main purpose in existing is to evolve the next generation. If you have no intention of at least thinking that way then your purpose in life on earth is nothing - and time to go.
I do feel angry that so many innocent people have been given the virus.

God made Aids! HaHa. I suppose next you are going to say he created Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Childhood Cancer too?

Isaiah 45:7 - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Oh wait a minute...god is a monster!

I have wondered myself for such question. It could be a punishment from God on one hand, and natural phenomenon on the other hand. That is, just to teach the person in question a lesson. And this question should teach many of us that are married to stick or be faithful to our spouse.

People have had sex outside wedlocks for centuries....so we should have had AIDS/HIV a long time ago!!!!

YES people have had sex outside wedlocks for centuries. The marriage concept wasn't always there.....and just because it's frowned upon, doesn't mean people don't have sex outside of wedlock as you put it.

As_it_is puts it very nicely! It's all there!

HIV/AIDS is a natural phenomenon and this type of question makes it worse. People don't want to get tested, don't want to admit to having the disease, even to their sexual partners, don't want to volunteer for studies, all because they are afraid of what ignorant people will think and say about them. Don't be part of the problem.
