Praying 5 times a day was ordained by Allah. In fact it would have been a lot more than just 5 times a day but because Muhammad(saws) interceded for everyone when he made the Night Journey we only have to do the 5 instead of a lot more. Perhaps you should go and read the history before making false accusations.

I see why you left Islam, whomever was teaching you had a messed up, incorrect interpretation. Prophets were sent down to various nations throughout the ages and the message never changes: Worship God alone and do good deeds to have a happy afterlife. Some Muslims refer to Zorastrians as "People of the Book."

Christians copied the concept of satan from the Zoroasters.
The Trinity was copied from the concept of Hercules as God.
The flood of the world is copied by the Epic of Iris.

Muhammad never met even a single zoroaster in his pre-Islamic life.

Islam didn't steal anything. Islam was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Almighty God. If God gave the 5 daily prayers to the zorastians, then He gave it to the Muslims, too.

Actually, God ordered Muslims to pray 50 times a day, but through the intercession of Moses (peace be upon him) and Muhammad (peace be upon him), God eventually reduced the number to 5 times a day.

Mohammed took the following: the Torah, the New Testament, the teachings of Zoroaster and the tribal folklore of Beduoin culture, melded it together with some political ideas and gave birth to the Q'uran.

His original goal was to weld the various Arabic tribes together in a cohesive political unit in order to strengthen them all against outsiders moving in and taking them over. Politicking didn't work. But he had a brilliant idea. Religion DID work. It unified the tribes, set them on the conquest trail and look where they are today. Not bad for a failed politician, huh?

Those Muslims who dispute the inclusion of other writings into the Q'ran simply have no idea of the timelines involved.

And to say the Mohammed himself was functionally illiterate and could not have written the Q'ran is to shame his wife, the widow of a successful trader, who took her new husband under her wing and taught him to read, write and cipher. SHAME on any follower of the Prophet who fails to give credit where it is due, just because it belongs to a female!
