"the only 2 reported interior the present PepsiCo web site are here: a million) Caleb Bradham offered the call "Pep Kola" from a close by competitor and adjusted it to Pepsi-Cola. 2) "Pepsi-Cola" is an anagram for "Episcopal" - a extensive church around the line from Bradham's drugstore. there's a plaque on the region of the unique drugstore documenting this, even with the indisputable fact that PepsiCo has denied this theory. yet another theory is that Caleb Bradham and his consumers only theory the call sounded stable or the undeniable fact that the drink had some form of "pep" in it because of the fact it replaced right into a carbonated drink, they gave it the call "Pepsi"."

Curtis B is correct. I saw a documentary once about Pepsi and Coke and that is the strongest theory.

i read through the wikipedia article and there were several theorys but this one best suit you from how you asked it
"[']Pepsi-Cola['] is an anagram for [']Episcopal['] - a large church across the street from Bradham's drugstore. There is a plaque at the site of the original drugstore documenting this, though PepsiCo has denied this theory.

In 1922, the words Please Eliminate Poop So I can breath were shortened to P.E.P.S.I. so that the company could just get on with it. Everything really stands for something.
