would this hair colour be suitable for school?

i have brown hair with blonde streaks but because i don't like my blonde hair colour that much i am thinking of a little bit of a change, my hair colour that i want is a chocolate brown, but i dont know if this would be suitable for school...i think it probably would but i would be happier with peoples oppinion, please answer yes or no and maybe a reason? thanks holz

yes it will be fine i went in school once with my hair red and i never got told off or sent home so i cant see why you will with a more natural colour (dont worry)

Ok, well first off, did you mean that your natural hair color was blonde? Or is it brown....?
It probably doesn't matter a whole lot either way, but I was just curious.

Personally, I think that chocolate brown is one of the colors most likely to be suitable for school (as opposed to platinum blonde, neon green, blue, or jet black for example lol). I'm not quite sure why you are worried that it wouldn't be suitable, though. Do you go to a school with strict dress code requirements? Some of the Catholic elementary schools have a policy where you can't dye your hair anything that's not natural... but you do sound a little more intelligent than an elementary schooler. ;)

As for how it would look though, based on what you've said, and based on your avatar, I bet it probably would look fine. Brown is a much easier color to work with than blonde or red, so you shouldn't have much problem. It's also one of the more versatile colors because it appears naturally for people with light or dark skin and there's a lot of shades to work with. I'm not sure if you're concerned with how it'll look as much as whether it would be suitable in your school, but if you want to find a shade that would really complement your skin tone and the hair that you already have, I suggest going to a hair stylist for advice. Just cut out some pictures of hair colors you like (or you can print them online; try sites like http://www.lorealparis.com

or just do an image search on google or yahoo to use for examples)

I think the stylist appreciated it. And then you get what you really want too.

I have chocolate brown hair with a few tasteful blonde highlights just to break up the colour a little and I think it would be fine for school. Mind you i'm too old to go to school now! I do remember though that there was a private school where you weren't allowed to dye your hair and my friend had to 'undye' her hair!

Do whatever u like and dark brown hair looks good, dont worry. More over, the only advice i can give is, that you dont use too many chemicals, they can weaken your hair a lot. So just be careful and take care of your hair, that is the most important and best part for a girl.

go for it. i was blonde , then went for light brown and my hair is chocolate brown now and i love it as well as everyone else lol. dont worry about school they cant tell you what hair colour to have can they

hmmm i don't understand why it wouldn't be suitable for school, it's a natural colour i had dark brown hair at my school and they were fine with it, they didn't actually notice to be honest lol. and i'm sure it'll look beautiful, it'll make your eyes stand out and get a new cut while your'e at it and everyone will be jealous =p hehe

Chocalate brown DEFINITELY would be suitable for school. I thought you were gonna say pink or something?? I'd say go for it, dark brown looks great, especially if you're going from light to dark, good colour choice!

I think it would look great!
I recently dyed my hair(non permanent) a simmilar colour and people seemed to like it, so im thinking of doing it permanent.

You can wear your hair in any colour. Some girls in my school have hot pink highlights!

darkish browny red, a good number of ladies in my college have it from blondey brown hair and it extremely looks helpful :) also some ladies go gentle ginger and that looks helpful :D perchance darkish blue ? :)
