We're both in the same church, and he started talking to me online last year, and confessed to liking each other. But I wasn't really ready for a relationship then, and I didn't feel like going out on solo dates. He, however, asked me out quite a number of times, but it never happened. Mostly because I didn't give him a definite answer. We soon stopped talking as much as before.

A few weeks ago, I was talking about wanting to go to this cool bookstore but had no one to go with (my fellow book-loving best friend was in Japan) and he offered to go with me. But, yet again, it never happened!

I don't know if he still likes me. I still like him though! Should I tell him I like him again? His birthday is in February and maybe I should tell him then? What should I say? :)

Hi Steph, so you have decided that you would like a relationship now? Be *very sure* that you have before you go down the path of getting this guy interested (again), as I am betting that the last time he tried to chase you unsuccessfully that he was hurt in the process. Just cross your fingers that he hasn't put you into the category of tried and failed and give him very direct, definate and unambiguous indication that you are interested in him and won't play with his heart!

Men are so sensitive sometimes. As he has asked you out before and you refused he probably thinks you still don't want to even though you mentioned the bookstore. Best approach to find out if he is still interested is just ask him if he would like to meet you at church or go back to the bookstore. Good luck.

It doesn't hurt to try. I asked my husband out three times before he agreed to go out with me. We ended up getting married. Persistance can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Be prepared for whatever comes your way.

well you should be more assertive and less evasive when it comes to your friend, also it sounds like he is second fidddle to everyone and would explain his responses.
why wait just tell him how you feel and start dating or what ever you are interested in

hmm i think you should tell him cos you will regret it later!! also if he really liked you and asked you to go out with him a lot of times, this means that he really wants to go out with you. I think that you should go ahead!! you have nothing to loose!
