When going out, especially at night, I typically get hit on by men of all races. When a white guy approaches me, I usually tell them no I have a boyfriend. Last week I said that to some guy, and he said "oh you're not into white guys"....that made me think. I know for some men, it's intimidating approaching a woman and from what I hear, a black woman, especially if you are not black. I never considered that when a man of a different race approaches me, that it may come off that I'm not attracted to that race. Do you think it would be doing to much to mention that my boyfriend is white when I'm approached by white so as to not offend them. Or what do you suggest I say to a guy of ANY race so they don't think it's because I'm black, I must not be attracted to them?

i dont thinks its a case of whether the men approaching u is white or not. i think the guy who said it to u was just tryin to think of a reason to make u feel bad n actually consider him. as if u were blowing him of by sayin u have a bf. i just think if a guy approaches u, just say u have a bf. i mean ur not offending them intentionally thats if they get offended, n its not their business whether ur into certain races or not. u have a bf n thats it.

tell them the truth --- that you have a white fella for a boyfriend --- by the same token --- why should you make any excuses ?
don't you love this guy to be honest enough to admit it ?:
i thought all this nonsense went out the gate years ago --- remember emancipation ?
get a grip girl --- you maybe best stay home with your boyfriend ; that way other blokes won't be trying to latch onto you and putting you on the spot . good luck .

I would just tell them that you have a boyfriend and if they say that about not liking white guys, I would say, "no, i just don't like to cheat on the white guy that I have!"

First off it is none of their business who you date. The main thing is you told them you are not interested in them. No decent guy would be intimidated. You seem to be getting hit on a lot. Good luck.

I wanna make it a Law, that we are not allowed to use any Color, when we speak in Public. Don't look at the Race. It's all about the Fellin'. If it's right. Let it go. Enjoy yourself. We ain't in charge of your life. It's all about you.

no.
the remark of you 'not being into white guys', shows that it's them who're bringing the racism into the conversation.
don't stoop to their level.

no. don't start relationships off with lies. your boyfrirnd would not approve, i am sure. you will make him feel inferior. it also makes you look like you are embarrassed by the situation.
