Very very nice area but, as said above, very expensive to live.
Oxford is a beautiful city and there are lots of very pretty villages on the outskirts (like Brize Norton) with picture postcard thatched cottages, Cotswold stone etc.

It is quite a nice area. Historic Oxford, some very nice countryside and good road and rail links to major airports and to London (if you want to go there!) That is why Fernando Alonso lives in Oxford and Takuma Sato in Marlow.
It is however, expensive. Parking charges in Oxford are criminal.
