Well I'm American so I don't really know what 5kgs is, but anyways.

If you want to lose weight, reduce your calories by a lot (for a man maybe 1200, woman 1000). Eat only vegetables, white lean meats, fish, and egg white. Do not drink alcohol in excess. Drink WATER ALL DAY LONG.

And exercise. Best exercise is 45-60 minutes of cardio (running, biking, elliptical, etc) 4-5 days a week. You will lose weight very quickly with this plan. Good luck.

Use a low carbohydrate diet so that your body uses fat for fuel rather than carbs (ketosis). The first few days is difficult but then its easy. You can test if you are 'in ketosis' by using ketostix from the pharmacy.

Your weight suddenly drops because of less water weight then you gradually loose fat. Try weight training to increase the rate of fat loss through increased muscle mass.

Eat meats, eggs, cheese, etc and up to three cups of salad vegetables per day. Salad vegetables include cucumber, capsicum, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, celery etc.

Foods to avoid or eat very little of are sugar, any natural sugars including in milk and fruit, and the common carbs like bread, pasta and rice.

Also good to take a daily multi-vitamin and the maximum recommended daily dose of fish oil capsules. Drink water frequently - it helps fat loss.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

You do not want to loose by just loosing water as this will certainly return and if you are really unlucky you might even put on extra.

you can knock off 5 kgs within a month, stop all fats from ur diet,no dressings on salad,no butter or cheese,no junk food,just have soups and fruits and salads,and have lots of green tea,and try and take up yoga, or brisk walk or jog for at least 40 mins 4 days a week...do let me kno if it works for you...it sure worked for me!

Do following three things Only:

1) Don't ever drink cold or normal temperature water after eating any meal, have a cup of warm water instead.

2) Take one cup of warm water with one spoon of Honey and one spoon of salt.

3) Regularize your meal and don't eat less, just avoid junk food.

You will see effect quickly.
