Actually, I'd have to say the U.S. Navy does.

The Navy have the nuclear submarines, and the Army is mostly a ground force, so I bet the Navy does. The Air Force can drop nuclear bombs, so they're probably next.

The cost of research and development of modern weapon systems is gigantic. The United States defense budget dwarfs all other developed nations' combined budgets. I read a Jane's report detailing that the world's 15 most powerful nations annual military spending added together still do not equal the U.S. who spends virtually half a TRILLION (yes trillion with a T) dollars per year only on defense. That means while other nations may be developing lets say the Eurofighter or the French Rafale fighter, the United States has literally hundreds of cutting edge experimental military projects in development at any one time. The F-22 Raptor for example is not only the most advanced air dominance fighter but is supported by the most advanced integrated digital battlefield system mankind has ever seen. In an article from the UK observer, the United States is said to have more military and economic influence over the world than even the Roman Empire did at its peak. Simply said; not only is the United states the most advanced military power in the world, it is the most powerful nation mankind has ever seen....ever...and the U.S. is only 200 years old. What this shows is how far the US, and more specifically the US Air Force, is ahead of its friends and enemies in terms of its revolutionary application of air power. It is noteworthy that its nearest allies in Europe lack large stocks of smart bombs, heavy bombers or unmanned reconnaissance aircraft that were so critical in modern unconventional wars such as the one going on in Afghanistan. What is more is that, as the Pentagon's defence spending increases, this military gap between the United States' abilities and the rest of the world is certain to get wider and wider.

Yes the U.S. Army has the most advances weapon systems in the world, but just because there advanced, doenst mean that they are reliable, infact that usually means the opposite. But another few trillion dollars and are technologically advanced weapons will be fool proof, but by then we'll have some new system to use.

For the most part yes. However, other countries have weapons that are very advanced as well. The Israeli Merkava battle tank and British Challenger tanks could definately give the Abrams a run for its money. (Some speculate they are better then ours) Our Naval and Air supremacy can't be matched. HOWEVER.... the Chinese have been upgrading their navy and could give ours a run for its money in the future mainly due to shear numbers. Man for man, the Israelis are commonly thought to have better pilots than ours but our technology and numbers make up for that. Overall, our weapons systems are overall the most advanced in the world. But at a great cost and to be honest, the more complicated something is the greater chance for malfunctions. We even have "frickin laser beams!"

Some of it, but the European militaries are very advanced as well, just much smaller for the most part. Countries like Germany (which always does everything best) produce a lot of the most advanced weapons system but they are mostly sold to other countries including the US.

Advanced yes, but not advanced enough to create peace in the world. The best weapon in the world is human intelligence.
