when you feel depressed about your weight, look at that beutiful daughter and know that the weight gain was for a good cause and that is was worth it. You do sound like you might have PPD, and you have a strong mind to be able to know you are depressed. that is a good thing, a lot of women don't understand it or they hide their feelings. Talk to your doctor, but remember, the weight gain is just a small price to pay for having the chance to be a mom. Good Luck

Find a way to get active...maybe aerobics (maybe like a dancing exercise...something fun). It's good to get active, because with your newborn, you will probably spend a lot of time sitting (watching the baby, feeding the baby, etc.) and that won't be good for your weight. Start off slow, just get a little more active. Maybe while the baby is asleep, you could put him/her on the couch (to be able to watch them) and do an aerobic workout. After awhile, you may enjoy working out, and you will already be on your way to losing the weight. The key is to just get more active, and proportion your food (eat the right amount, according to what the label says the serving is). Eat more fruits and vegetables, and drink a lot of water. Maybe try juicing or a diet shake program. Good luck, and i hope you get over the depression! Smile! :)

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.
