when will you muslim ladies decide to think for yourself instead of making Mr. Muhommed (peace be upon myself) do the thinking for you that has kept you muslim ladies in chains for 1400 years?

They endorse the slavery themselves, they need to stand up and be counted. Dont forget women in other parts pf the world fought to overcome opressive cultures. Right now most muslim women we speak to actually defend their place in their society and say that they are not opressed but that is a misconception. In any case, a woman has a very powerful place in society as a mother and through bringing up children to respect women and female children to be liberated in their thinking and know their potential is limitless. Change must come from within otherwise it will fail.

I'm a human and what makes me different from animals is that I have a mind to use it....and God asked us to think in things....and all these falling-apart laws in the world are useless because God knows better and he chose prophet Muhammad to tell us....and it is enough to see (all these social problems and diseases ) that come from not following these laws....and it is because i think, i choose to set me free like he did before 1400 years and its because i think i took the decision to follow....:) and all over the world consider people who wear revealing clothes free well i am too...:) thx for the question....the chains are the ones that use women as products ...:).

What do you mean when will we think of ourselves? Awww... how sweet of you to be concerned about us (what on earth makes you think Muslim women are kept under chains?), but I pity YOU instead.... Know why? Because Islam gives me, as a Muslim woman, the MOST respect that any religion could ever give its female followers.... Prove to me where ANY other religious/Holy Books have given the same rights to their females that I am given as a Muslim woman, friend.... My guardians are obligated to educate me... Are yours? I'm given a certain type of dress code to protect me from being molested by hungry males; are you? I get to inherit property (half because I'm not obligated to bear the financial responsibilities of my family!! WOHOO!!); do you? I get to have any kind of job I want; do you? Yeah, it's painfully sad to think that the western women had to go through lots of hardships to get the rights that they have today, but imagine when we Muslim women got our rights: OVER 1400 years ago!!!! Ahhhh...Don't fool yourself into thinking that your current religion gives you rights because it DOES NOT unless it's Islam. Proof? Read the Bible (Christian) or the Torah (Jewish) or the Vidas (Hindu) or any other Holy Book and search for women's rights in there.... Search for women's positions and roles and rewards in there.... Ahh.... you obviously never were a true Muslim, educated in the TRUTH of Islam, or else you'd know that non-Muslim women are constantly accepting Islam as their number one choice of religion BECAUSE Islam has the MOST respect for women.... Yeah, it's the truth, buddy! Not everyone can handle the truth.
Sorry to admit to you that you won't have much luck with trying to convert a Muslim woman to your religion (if you even have one)... ;) Muslim women cry to God with happiness because God has given us all these rights that a non-Muslim woman had to fight for to get those same rights hardly a few decades or a couple of centuries ago....
You're soooooooo indulged in how the media portrays a Muslim woman, aren't you? You're judging the Muslim women mainly based on how some uneducated, heartless Muslim men treat their women, aren't you?... Ahhh... May God help you open your eyes and your heart!!! You are not an ex Muslim or you would know this is not true. Muslim women have many rights and are free, not in chains.
My husband is Muslim and treats me better than any other man ever has, especially my American, Christian ex-husband.

i'm thinking for myself, and i believe that i, as a Muslim have all rights to use the hijab as a main part of my identity.
i am proud to be a Muslim and love Islam, the ONLY religion that gave women decent rights as human beings.
forget today's era, when women in developing countries are still forced into marriage and denied their due wealth........
even mor than a THOUSAND years back, when women in Europe were not allowed to own property, when education was considered a WASTE on girls, ISLAM and our PROPHET (peace be upon him) gave women rights to all these things and more!

you know i tell you proudly am happy that i follow the holly prophet and if you ever knew Islam you would know what a great role women have in it ! you know where did the holly prophet die ? not in war nor in the mosque no he died in his wife's lap and nothing can show more than that the great amount of respect women have
