People keep telling me he is real because they have faith, but that doesn't make any sense to me. How ignorant is it to believe is something that you knoe nothing about. would you jump off a bridge if someone told you you would land in the most comfortable bed you had ever been on, but you couldn't see it?

If our system is so complex how could anyone design it or not design it... you can't prove either way and you are (dare I say it) ignorant for believing either way. FACT is you just don't know... that is all you can say educationally

- Some people are spiritually shallow & can't believe in anything. Others are deeper hearted people where your question is simple
to believe in, faith is sitting in a chair with out first inspecting it, you can't see striength, or saftey instructions, you simply sit you trust, = Faith. A pure heart trusts, God loves Faith, there would be No faith if we could see God, like we can, a snake, good thing we can see them ! ! ! - Talk this over with Jesus, He loves you.

It won't make any sense to you until you seek a relationship with Him yourself. To say we "know nothing about" God is absolutely ridiculous. God transcends reason and logic. Those who don't believe in Him constantly cite that there's no proof, that it's illogical and doesn't make sense. It's ignorant to assume that humans are such high beings that if there were a God, we would be able to prove it scientifically and logically. All I can say is that those who have found a relationship with God are the only ones who will see the absolute logic and understand His existence. Christians are written off as blind fools who believe in something just for the sake of believing. Until you experience something, you don't see how it can be real, and it's very sad that so many will never give themselves the opportunity to experience God.

HI,
Faith comes from studying and reading and there are many accounts in history that support the bible, In science they have traced our origins back to 1 male and 1 female and everyone on this earth has in common, ( watch the real eve on discovery channel and the first man Adam from national geographic) they have found evidence of a world wide flood, know where the arc is, And just for another example say you had all this material for building a house and threw it on the ground and came back the next day and expected it to be built with no one designing or building it you'd only find your wood and stuff still laying there wouldn't you? Well how do you think a system as complexed as our came into being? Someone had to design it, I mean we have a perfect water system , our weather system had to be designed by someone. Our living arrangements are just to complexed for them just to happen on its own, someone had something specifically in mind when they created us. Wouldn't you say?

First off you have to be able to understand what love is! If you have never been shown love then you wouldn't understand it. Love is not sex... It is a power that all people have an option to use or they can chose to hate. Sad to say that in todays society most have chosen to hate or show a fake kind of love and its this fake kind of love that is turning people off at the church's. There is a GOD and you will only find him when you realy seek him and he is the one with the son who gave his life so you can be free from sin and sin is a disobedance to holly law, not man made law. Is he real? Yes very much so and he is waiting on you to talk to him and have a loving relationship with him and those around you so now its your turn and remember that the devel hates you and every thing about you and will try to destroy your friendship with GOD so be ready to defend yourself or you are doomed!

Well, the Bible proves nothing, nor does it work to say "I can't see your thoughts, but I know they exist" because thoughts can be measured (as can air, the wind, etc.). God is something that has never been detected, never been perceived by any of anyone's five senses. Never been measured, never been heard. Never healed an amputee. Because of that, I do not believe that God exists, but I cannot say with 100% certainty, just as nobody can say with 100% certainty that they know God does exist. It has been neither proven nor disproven, so the best thing you can do is not call people ignorant for believing what they do, because you do the same thing.

Faith is the wonderful thing about believing in God!
It's kind of like getting a job and working before they pay you, do you think you will get paid when they say they will pay you? You don't really know if you'll get paid or not, but you do the work first, correct? Trusting that your employer will pay you for your work when you are finished is the same way you trust that God will give you your final reward for blindly believing and following Him!
God Bless You

very, actually, if you look at it from a completely temporal view. If I believe in only what I see, then it is completely foolish.
However, I must believe in what I do not see on a day to day basis. I do not see wind, but it has effects. I do not see atoms, but they make up things I can see. I do not see your thoughts, but they make you say the things you do. Because of that, I must believe in things I cannot see.
Even then, one can always say it is foolish to believe in God. And looking at it from a standpoint outside of Christ, I can see that. However, it is written that He will use the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. even if there was a god, how ridiculous does it seem that he should send part of himself to be sacarificed for people that abuse and reject him.
but that's the medium God chose, so it's the truth. I can't convince you of that, but if you allow Holy Spirit to, He will.

Faith is not a virtue. You should never ever try to make yourself believe in something just because other people want you to.
You are correct, if you don't know anything about something you shouldn't believe in it.

What doesn't make sense to me is why you're worrying about this. People believe in all kinds of things that other people can't prove, but if it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket (tm Thomas Jefferson), why's it any concern of ours?
