i say it on accident now.
i used to say it all the time before blonde bimboface turned it into a trend..its a pretty useless phrase anymore. i'd try not avoid it.

It's kind of an old phrase, but i still use it on occasion just to be ridiculous in certain situations or at certain times. It's all about timing and not using it all the time, because you'll burn it out. Plus, your friends will get burnt out on hearing you use it all the time. In their heads, that phrase may already be "old news," so it might be time to find a new catch phrase...they might think you're stuck in the past.

It used to be a cool phrase 'til Paris Hilton started to overuse it---she even has it trademarked!

I think you need to expand your vocabulary, quit trying to act cool, and grow up.
Constant use of that phrase identifies you as extremely immature.

europeans and others make fun of americans because we always state the obvious. (i.e., "it's cold"; "you cut your hair", "that's hot").
i guess we're supposed to wait until we actually have something to say.
"that's hot" is not so bad i guess, but conveying that you are trying to be like paris hilton is a very bad thing.
she's a waste of space.

well,i encountered a lot of people saying that especially when they get turned on..(don't be naive,you know what i mean)..and from other people's view those who use that term is hot themselves..they are perceived to be sex-maniac not necessarily being negative for that matter i mean..sexually inclined...ravenous in a sense...not a typical one.
