They are not big layers.... however we have eaten them. Love turkey eggs, they are bigger than chicken eggs.

I had a big ol' turk hen that laid eggs a few times a week.

yes turkeys do lay eggs, With Duck eggs being larger, have to be cooked that much longer, because they are poisoners if left to soft. Maybe its the same with Turkey eggs, in that they may have a poisoner's enzyme that could kill if not cooked properly, so they don't sell them like the rest of the eggs.

As far as I know in the U.S they don't sell turkey eggs. Not quite for sure why, or how they would taste.
My only guess is that it's because it isn't socially acceptable. Meaning, it's quite common for us to drink cow's milk, yet some people look at you funny if you drink goat's milk, ya know? Or Monkey Milk... can you imagine?! Ick! lol Just an example.... it's been socially acceptable to drink cow's milk but for other animals it's not. Maybe the same goes for eggs...... :-)

and good point, I always wandered what dirty caveman though it would be a good idea to eat a chickens featus, I also wander what the man who discovered milk was doing to that cow.
