I know that scientist have discovered proof that events in the bible actually took place, but that still isn't proof that there was a god... or that mary really was a virgin, or that jesus was the son of a supposed god? There were god's in ancient greek times. Why do we look at the Greeks like they are silly for believing that god's controled what happened on Earth when we believe that a god controls our world too?

I don't think you guys are getting my question which is... how does proof that events in the bible happened prove that god exist? and why do we think the Greeks are silly for believing in gods when we do the same thing?

For the first one. No. God isnt real. Man made God as something to have faith in.

And IF and ONLY IF Mary somehow did become pregnant and still remain a virgin she wouldnt be able given birth due to the fact that her vagina wouldve been to tight for the Mr.Jesus to escape during birth;UNLESS if she was given a see-section,and IF that happened she wouldve died due to massive bleeding and probable shock, and from that the bible becomes a lie.

and the reason the greeks get made fun of is cause they were pagans and pagans are mistakenly thought as of Satanist due to use of Witchcraft and Magik and rituals,ect.ect. and and you cant forget the pentagram.
But also the greeks made up the gods to try to explain the reasons for love, weather, harvest, war, ect. so in the end nothing controls human but ourselves.

and IF God does exist then im pretty sure hes like"Why did i make humans again?"

I'm curious as to what events in the bible you think scientists actually took place? But I digress.

To answer your question, not everyone thinks the Greeks were silly for believing in their various gods. Only monotheists and atheists do, and atheists just believe in one less god then monotheists like Christians do. ;) It might surprise you to learn that there are still people who worship and pray to the Greek gods as well as many other ancient gods that pre-date the Christian one by tens of thousands of years. There are still many polytheists out here. I'm one of them.

The reason the monotheists look down on other cultures and religions is because they don't worship the same god.

The events in the bible do not prove the existence or that the god of the bible is the only one. In fact, he even admits that there are other gods...people just like to gloss over that fact.

*sigh* Please... if you're smart enough to realize that the universe did NOT just randomly create itself! GOD DID! And for you people who ask: Who created God? then here's your answer: He always was here and forever shall be here. Something SO HUGE cannot JUST RANDOMLY CREATE ITSELF! Unless we are tiny ants and Earth is but a mere speck of dust, then the universe is a pretty much endless place.

(START OF STUFF YOU MIGHT NOT BELIEVE) I have a large amount of faith in God and have been able to create a very close link with God. (trust me... it's a bit creepy) It started during summer when I wished that I could read minds and surprisingly enough, I learned how to control my conscious and discovered that the human conscious is NOT part of the brain. Now how do I know this? Cause I have been able to sort of reach out with my mind and feel other people's consciouses as well. (END OF STUFF YOU MIGHT NOT BELIEVE)

Yah it sounds like bolonga, but true. I can't prove you that this is true, but I can say that you should research Out of Body Experiences and everything makes perfect sense, only those lucky people have better control of their spirits. ^^ Have fun pondering these mysteries of life!

Some say God is Love. God is in a warm smile.(Not kidding)
That feeling is God. God made it so that when we touch the hot stove, both electrical and chemical process in the brane and nervous systems work synchronistically making our foot recoil.
God is why our teeth are sufficiently hard enough to bite through a carrot and our eyes see its shape nose smells carrot juice brain retains the term "Carrot Juice".
God is Why every seed falls containing everything it needs it's own energy to push it's way out of the ground by itself *and there's no sun shining under the ground, case you did not know..
If not God by whatever name - then I wanna meet the designer of me.
This thing about books proving God.....(The existence of trees (:
They prove powerful visions by humans can be written by men for men's purposes - very few ladies get the spotlite - nice question thx. Unbroken Hymen? Good Gynecological Surgeons? - or Immaculate Conception? Wasn't there myself....Dunno :)

There's no proof of a god and it's my thought that man (or humankind) created god and not the other way around. I have often wondered the exact same thing -- why are so many other creations stories "myths" and the Judeo-Christian story is "how it really happened?"

God is just a creation of human imagination. It's a great creation when it's used for good or seen for what it is. It's a bad one when it's used to control and manipulate.

Do yourself a great favor. Read the Articles of Ur. The ancient Hebrew texts the old Sumerian texts The Book of Nod and the Book of the dead.
Look in them for the Races of the Elden or ancient races. Look for the Quotes by the "visitors" the "outworlders" and the "resident Aliens" then make up your own mind.

What events from the Bible do you think there is proof for? Are any of these supernatural events? I don't think so. Atheists don't doubt that the Bible existed back then, we doubt that any of the supernatural events happened.

You can easily prove to yourself that the god of the Bible doesn't exist at this site. http://www.godisimaginary.com

Yes , rest assured that science is only proving the bible as each year goes past. So dont foget, its all about Faith anyway. So dont wait on the scientist to figure out what we already know to be true.
the greeks believed what tehy did because the knowledge of God is in every last one of us. They just went after 'fleshy' things

addition:

Because we have the Holy Spirit confirming the word of God on a daily basis. And we have the word of god, and we have a relationship with Jesus and faith. All that they didnt have

Science cannot prove the existence of God! God is real if you have faith! And God is very much real to me!
