I've known this girl for about a year and she has agreed to go out with me. But she wants to bring one of her friends along. Do I buy/bring them both something and must I pay for the whole night for the both of them?
If I should buy/bring anything, what should it be?

First of all, man to man - you only pay for the person you invited. Since your date invited her then she pays for her. And secondly if this is your first date with her you don't bring her anything. Although you two have been talking you are still trying to feel her out, you want to know if she going out with you for YOU. This isn't selfish just common sense.

You asked her out, so you pay. As for the other girl, she's on her own. But who wants to be a 3rd wheel on a date? Bring one of your friends along too.

I'm so sorry to tell you this, but anytime I brought a friend along on a date it was because I didn't really like the guy other than maybe friends, but didn't want to be mean and say no over and over. Don't pay for the friend. You didn't ask the friend out.

Totally, bring a friend of your own along too, and you pay for her, but both of your friends pay for themselves.

only buy the girl your with something. save some trouble and one mean fight. but it wouldn't be a bad idea to cover the meal and date. that's a friendly gesture you would do for anyone of your friends IE friends pending on financial settings for the afternoon

u shd very clearly state to the girl....... wht u r intrested in spending time with the girl ...right? u called her out for date and not her frd... the best u r doing is taking the frd along and her frd or the girl shd spend for her...
because never do anything in the start of any relationship that u cannot carry well in later times.........

she is bringing one of her freinds because she is shy...what you should do is bring one of your guy friends....that way he can pair up with her and she can pair up with you...and as far as paying goes:
you only pay for yourself and your date while her friend and your friend pay for themselves.
A tactful way of doing this is to tell your buddy to to either stay ahead or behind in the movies line and at meal times to tell the waitress for separate bills and when she brings them around, just grab hers and yours, and pay for them...
