Nope. In most States of USA, You wil need a ertificate of your doctor or preferably a neurologist, that after your test (normally blood clotting tests, cholesterol levels, Cat scan of the brain and EEG or electroencephalogram), can extend the proper certificate.
Your insurance Company, could not care less whether you are a
able and fit for drive
ing your car or not, because the only thing they care for, is getting more money from your pocket, to sell you a policy (at elevated price) that will not cover third party damages, unless you have the certificate from your doctor,
Tou know how these insurance companies are.

I know many states passed a law that mandates doctors to inform the department of motor vehicles when you seek their attention for seizures, strokes anything like that which was caused by an unknown source. Usually a doctor will do a work up of tests and then after you comply, if the cause was found, your license will be reinstated.
