My mum wont' let me dye my hair because it will (allegedly) mess with my tender teenage hormones. Is there any real evidence to support this? How can I convince my mum to let me dye it?

Hormones can have an impact on the way certain chemicals react with your hair, but I think your mother just doesn't want you to dye your hair. She may come around, but if not, honor her wishes. You'll be able to do whatever you want to your hair when you're older.

Maybe she's talking about the hormones of the guys who will be aroused by your new look. Listen to your mum, it's healthier to just leave your hair the way it is anyways.

You have to go a hair web site, but hormones have nothing to do with dying your hair.

Wow. I've never heard of something so crazy. I hear all sorts of myths from my clients, but this is the worst. It will not affect your hormones..

There are toxins in many dyes that can enter your system and could have a negative impact on your health.
