It would be pointless. World peace will never exist. It is all about balance. Both (peace and chaos) must always coexist on the physical plane.

Prayer for World Peace, 1978)
Lord, we pray for the power to be gentle;
the strength to be forgiving;
the patience to be understanding;
and the endurance to accept the consequences
of holding to what we believe to be right.

May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil
and the power of love to overcome hatred.

We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe
in a world emancipated from violence,
a new world where fear shall no longer lead men to commit injustice,
nor selfishness make them bring suffering to others.

Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy
to the task of making peace,
praying always for the inspiration and the power
to fulfill the destiny for which we and all men were created.

God Bless You

No. I will do something about it by helping to educate people. Billions of prayers have been said for world peace...it's not working!

If there is a god who can answer prayers it has to be evil. No good god would let bombs be dropped on children if it had the power to stop them. Freewill has nothing to do with what I am talking about. God's actions. God has the power to stop the bomb from dropping on the children if it is all-powerful. God would want to stop the bomb from dropping on the children if it is all-good. But the bombs are still dropping.

Christians try to dodge this dilemma by appealing to the Adam and Eve bit....An all-knowing god would have known that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit. If there is a god it is surely evil.

No, I will pray for God's will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. According to the bible, world peace is not in the cards for us anytime soon.

You will never have World Peace as long as you have religions who can't agree on God. Instead, pray that God gets the religions to agree. He's the only one that they will listen to.

No, I'll volunteer at the homeless shelter instead. Then when I get home from there I'm heading over to the nursing home to give companionship to the many elderly people who's families have forgotten them. Then after my long hard day I'm gonna write yet another letter to my priminister's office begging him to withdraw our troops from Iraq.

Yes, and if you are a tongue talker, do it in tongues, cause the world needs it desperately.
