I not super-model gorgeous and I am not exactly a sexy seductress but I have a great personality. Any decent guy would probably like a girl he could talk to and laugh with rather than a gorgeous girl that he feels insecure around or doesn't have a lot in common with. Here is how you get your man:
1.) Don't be prissy or try to be something that you are not. Believe it or not, guys actually LIKE a girl that they can give a playful shove to and no feel worried as to how she will react. Now I'm not telling to hang loose and take anything, but don't be uptight, cold, or unfriendly.
2.) Smile. You're smile is your money-maker. When I am interacting with guys, I make sure to smile a lot to let them see that I like to have a good time and that I AM having a good time. Never be boring. And if you are bored, find a way to entertain yourself without excluding the guy you like.
3.) Don't be afraid to be bold. I know it takes a lot of self -confidence to say "Hi what's up?!" to guy but it's something you work at.
4.) Just be YOURSELF.

For short term, looks. For long term, personality, but you need attraction. Looks are all preference anyway. Don't bother yourself about trying to look a certain way, you'll be beautiful to some and not so much to others. Personality wise. Honesty is a big one. Not stuck up. Genuine...As in, if you're actually afraid of spiders, then be afraid of them and that's great and can be cute or whatever, but don't pretend to be if you're not. Don't pretend to be a ditz if you're not. Eventually you get found out that you're a fraud, and that's just annoying.

there has to be an initial looks attraction and then the personality will take over.
every guy has something different that turns them on for physical attraction

It depends on the girl I suppose, more sophisticated girls will prefer someone who makes an effort. The cheap girls will be intimidated and feel lower (which they probably are). Don't worry about it. Sometimes I go casual, sometimes I wear all the brands, but I always have a Ralph Lauren scarf on haha. I like to look sophisticated, I'm in a relationship with a sophisticated girl, and I like to appeal to sophisticated girls. I am quite sure you want to as well.

smart and clever... Well theres a lot a guys out there that look for looks (just like girls)... But in reality we should look for someone that is down to earth and hard working, because in the long run you both will be happy.... Looks fade, love and passion last for ever... LONG-TERM: PERSONALITY & LOOKS
You have to live with this person and wake up to that face every day...so she better look pleasant first thing in the morning and be positive throughout the day...
