Who would win between Tyson and Ali if both were in their prime?

If they got to box each other when they were both in their prime and before tyson went crazy! I think Ali would win but barely. Would go all 12 for sure.

Ali would win without a doubt.
For two reasons.

1. He is quicker and would definetly outpoint tyson.
2. Many people don't know he has the greatest chin in boxing. Only been down once by fraiser and never Ko'd.(Tko by holmes but that doesn't count he was like 50 yrs old)

*So he could survive tysons onslaught regroup recover and box his ears off.

Well, it has been said already, Tyson would win if he could KO Ali in the first few rounds. If the fight went into the 6 or 7 round, it would be over for Tyson. Question is, would Tyson catch Ali in the first few rounds and I think the answer is yes. Ali was a great boxer, but was too arrogant for his own good. He would have played with Tyson and would have gotten tagged and been another casualty to Tyson's power.

But, you are comparing apples to oranges. A dancer vs a brawler. Also, it does not matter because everyone knows that Joe Lewis was the greatest ever. But him in the ring with Ali or Tyson when he was in his prime and would have masquered both. Heck, he could have beaten them back to back.

In his prime Ali fought 15 round bouts and his name was Cassius Clay. So with that being said Muhammad Ali in his prime would dance and play tag. The only person being tagged would be Tyson. Tyson would be disqualified for a foul because of his pent up frustrations at not being able to hit Ali. I think some people are fooled by the fact that Holmes beat Ali and the fact that Tyson beat Holmes. I can tell you that the old guys that lost those fights in their prime would have won. The common factor is Holmes and he knows the truth. When you look at Tyson look at his whole career before you compare him with Muhammad Ali. Ali is the greatest of any era ever.

Ali was a much smarter boxer, but Tyson was so quick and deadly with his fists. Every boxer gets hit, that's a fact, Tyson would be able to scare Ali into a corner with his speed in the early rounds and knock him out pretty easily. If the fight went longer than 5 then you have to go with wit, but I think we would see a KO with Tyson crowned the winner before the 4th round.
Tyson was simply the stronger man, and I don't care what people say Tyson did know how to box. The rope -a -dope just wouldn't work against him.

If it went past 6 or 7 Ali would win. If Tyson caught him early he might have been able to KO Ali. Ali was a much smarter fighter. He would have let Tyson punch himself out and used psychology before and during the fight. 9 out of 10 times Ali would win.

tyson is in the same mould with sonny liston but ali has the power and the brain.tyson would never hit ali in the jaw just like foreman did to ali but could not ko ali.he will get tire and ali will unleashed his power punch to tyson.ali is the greatest and no doubt about.ali can last a distance while tyson cant.

Tyson is a criminal, a punk, and has multiple disorders that would take years to get under control. he has never sacrificed or given of himself which would show some form of virtue or morals.
yea, he kicked the **** out of some other boxers but what will most be remembered about his life is to keep your ears covered when he is around!
next...Ali...he had style and personality and made tremendous sacrifices for his personal beliefs knowing it would better a nation. that shows character and you could see it in the ring.
he was a joker but Very proficient technically as a boxer. instead of Tyson's smash the can method, Ali was a chess player in the ring using intelligence and finesse.
