If you are going to college or being in a program in Spring 2008, then you do need to apply for the FAFSA now. This is because this new fafsa is for 2007-2008 school year. It doesnt matter if you are entering fall 2007 or spring 2008... you need to apply now, so you can get your money. Your program falls under the 2008 half of the year. I hope that helps :)

you apply for FAFSA every year that you are in school so they are still working with students that are attending school in 2007. No, it's too early to apply for FAFSA at this time. After June 2007 they will be working with students going to school in the end of 2007 and early 2008. You really dont have to do it until about 3 months before you are ready to start school.

The form for the 20072008 school year is out. There is no rush to do it now. Wait until you have all the forms together. However, I recommend not waiting until the last minute to file such as spring 2008.I recommend no filing no latter than the end of summer of 2007 at the latest. However, if you wanted to file after the income tax filing this year to get it out of the way, it is fine.

In order to ensure you are eligible for the most grants you will need to complete your 07/08 FAFSA now. Each state has their own filing deadline for the FAFSA so check with your financial aid officer or high school guidance counselor or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov to find out when your state deadline is. Getting the FAFSA completed by this deadline will allow you to meet eligibility requirements for state grants as well as federal grants. If you think you will only qualify for loans you can go ahead and wait to complete your FAFSA but why not do it now and have one less thing to worry about later.

It's too early for 2008, you have to wait until January 2008. But you can definitely try other grants or scholarships from now.

Good Luck
