a toothcomb is a flosser and a pick to get out stuff between your teeth in one.

from what i recall, a toothcomb is a fine comb where the bristles are really close together and used for the hair, in particular: to remove nits

never heard of it for the teeth?

I think you are referring to a 'Fine Toothcomb' which is the one with very narrow teeth used to remove 'nits' from hair. Haven't seen one for years but apparently the problem still exists with young schoolchildren...............

lol, it's just a regular comb. I believe everyone uses them (men and women)

Combs have teeth, and those teeth are the things that get the knots and tangles outta your hair and make your hair all smooth and lovely.

It can also be an expression of speech. " I'll go over it with a fine toothed comb." It just means to look at something carefully. lol
