To the poster Jacky, im not 12, I happen to be 33 and if you don't like my posts, don't read them !
Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that materialistic people are sincerely the most Insecure. They realize their "posessions" don't bring them happiness. Sometimes it's too late though, and they are miserable on a daily basis.
Peace

I agree. Treatau is not telling the truth. She goes on and on about everything she owns. She says she has a full time job AND is a full time Mom of three children. I wonder who changed more of her children's diapers and watched them with many of their "firsts". First roll-over, first sit-up, first step, first word . . . probably someone at her day care, or her nanny. Not being there for these firsts for her three children shows why we should pity materialistic people like her, and even more, her children need our prayers. They are growing up without a real mother. The see a woman now and they who provides for them, but their nanny or daycare provider is more like a Mom to those kids than the person who they might call Mom.

its must be very expensive and taxing to want things all the time, when i am in the shops/mall i get a very bad headache quickly - too much.Buying things ,shopping as a hobby is a new phenomnon we never use too....

I got some gift vouchers for xmas but i did'nt know what to do with them as i didnt want anything,so I gave them to my sister.

I thought afterwards that there must be something wrong with me?perhaps I am not reading enough magazines ?? Owning things that will just end up in a cupboard or in the garage does not interest me,these are not eternal lasting things worth accumulating.

I know lots of people with lots of toys that are caring, giving, happy and balanced.

What I have found is that lots of people resent people who "have" and put them down or there goals to obtain the Materialist world they work for....

Until a day comes those same people start to find they can afford the same toys and goodies - at that point many people seem to change their tune.

Go figure? :-)

Everyone is materialistic to a point. If you're not, you're Amish and in that case, you wouldn't be on a computer.
