I remember drinking my first beer (Bud) and it tasted horrible, and now I think it takes OK but still not that good. I'm wondering if it's something that begins to taste really good after awhile.

hey, don't take this the wrong way, but drinking BUD is your first mistake. It's like deciding if you like wine by drinking Bartles & James....Between the headache and the "Bud Mud", I'd rather drink nothing.

Seriously though, beer is an acquired taste, much like anything. But once you get past beer being a vehicle to getting "ossi-fied" and treat it like a tasty treat. You will learn to enjoy it.

Check out www.beeradvocate.com. It may help you identify some beer styles that may interest you. You can also see how low Bud ranks among beer drinkers.

Give Bass a try, nice and light. Good intro to beer. Amstel light is also a good start. Beer is not for everyone, but we are exposed to constant bombardments from A.B. and Coors (although Coors Banquet is a pretty good brew).

Education is key!

Beer has always been okay with me. When I started out I would drink hard Liquor, only because I wanted to get hammered. Now, that I've had enough of that, I usually only drink beer. I think you try other beers, preferably Sam Adams if you want a good Domestic beer or try something from a microbrewery in your area if you have one. Those are usually great beers. Then, venture out into the imports. There are thousands of beers other beers out there.

"ingesting hieneken. please dont say im ingesting a nasty beer because im fairly particular maximum beers flavor like "beer" somewhat bit diverse." incorrect! no longer all beer flavor like Heineken. Heineken is designed to have that bitter/skunked style. some beers are sweet... Milk Stouts and some Lambics. some are Tart... the different lambics and Flemish Ales. some are bitter/pretty spiced like IPAs and some are bready like Witbiers. Calling all beers an identical is like saying that each one hamburgers are an identical... there's a distinct distinction between a McDonald's burger and accurate classification burger. personally, i'll't stand Heineken. it truly is the Budweiser of the Netherlands. Low in style and extreme in hen. an hassle-free beer to get into is Hoegaarden. A White ale or Witbier. Bready/yeasty in style with a contact of coriander and clove... a contact of lemon/citrus. large with an Orange or Lemon wedge. although i guidance ingesting it without first, the real try of a beer is... is it drinkable without including some thing to it? in case you are able to't drink it with including fruit (Corona/Blue Moon) it isn't worth ingesting contained in the first position. you are able to also try diverse Belgian ales like Chimay... or Belgian style like Allagash or Ommegang. you are able to also try large American Microbrews from Dogfish Head or Bell's... My 2 own favorites. Me i love Stouts, Imperial Stouts and Belgian Tripels and Dubbels. finished of flavors... candies, end result, breads, berries, malt and many more effective. actual beer is a joyous ingredient... undesirable beer is a disappointing ingredient. EDIT: i love how AleSmith and that i commence off our solutions by way of telling him he's incorrect about all beer tasting an identical. Makes me chortle.

I'm sure it can. I've always loved the taste of a cold beer. drinkin Bud was your problem. Try Keystone or Lonestar (only in Texas).

Yes, when I drank my first beer I thought it was disgusting. Now, several years later, I will find myself having a "craving" for one. As if I would just really like to taste one. Not to get drunk but just because I like the flavor.
