I exercise at night after work is this good or should I do it in the morning? Also, i need to lose 40 lbs. by June does anyone know of a good diet( i am 220lbs and plan to go down to 180lbs), I am thinking of the Power 90 workout tapes and plan. Any suggestions?

There is no peak time of the day to exercise. With all my background in athleticism, I can only tell you that I feel better exercising at night, though it's no more productive than any other time. At that point, you've already been moving all day and your muscles are loose, so injury may be more avoidable, but not by much. With the personal training I've done, I have yet to see great results from a workout tape, but they do have some results.
The only diet I can mention is supplementing those snacks with fruits or vegetables and cutting the fat in your food. If trying to lose weight, I would assume you wouldn't want to build muscle, so keep the protein intake moderately low, but don't bottom out. Whatever you do, do not cut your carbs too much as it may lead to permanent health issues.
Cardio-aerobics are the best forms of weight-loss. This means running, biking, swimming, etc, pushing yourself fairly hard, not just the occasional moderately paced run. Be careful not to push too hard or you'll injure yourself and set yourself back by weeks.

Good exercise time is on empty stomach or gap of at least after food or 2.5 hrs after light snacks or 1.5 hours after a drink or 45 min. after smoke. The only exception is that u can have water at any time. All these parameters can be easily met in the morning only.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

I've tried the shakes and they're actually pretty good! My aunt actually lost 50+ pounds in 3 1/2 months. She watched what she ate, actually didn't work out all the time, and had these shakes. I was amazed to see how much she lost. I was like, "No way!", but it was true. It is kind of pricey, but if you can afford it, i'd say do it. Also, i've heard of people getting B12 shots, and losing weight. I have no idea what it does, but it works. You may want to look into that, too.

Of course you are going to have to work out, and stick with it. Drink lots of water and proportion your food. Good luck!

I don't think it matters when you exercise, just as long as you are exercising. You could do a 1500 or less caloric diet. Eat small meals often, eat fruits vegetables drink water do cardio and weight training and you should do fine. Increase resistance and change up your routine often so that your body burns the most calories and doesn't just plateau . It can be fun.

Times to exercise is vary to ppl and specially depends on your mood. But exercising in the morining has some advantages such as freshing you up and burn more calories. the best way to exercise is to do it 2 or 3 times a day but short periods. When we wake up in the morning we have lots of energy stored in our blood, the best exercise for the morining is first start with some warm up, streching and weigh lifiting and then do some aerobics. The streching and weight lifting exercise will use the stored calories in your blood and by following and aerobic you will burn fat. The sequence to do exercise for the rest of the day can be as normall and has no diffrenece.
Exercise at evening and specially before bed time has very good effect since you don't have time to eat afterward and pluse sleeping will let your body to rebuild itself.
Do not avoid weight lifiting exercise, it is good for any age, any body type and any situation, but should be done under the supervision of any expert and in the right way. Remember more muscles will burn more calories.

And about diet, there are lots of diet and I also tried so many of them. actually it dependes on your body, if you been a kind of person who tried so many kindes of diets during long times and you lost and gained pounds you will get slower results from any diet your fit in to.
My advise to you as a friend is don't go for fad diets which makes you loose weight so fast, that just won't work and make everything worse. Do not conitnue Dr. Attkins diet more than 2 weeks and you have to give 4 weeks break between each one. the best diet is to count your calories. but Never and ever let your body starve and never eat untill you stuffed. the best way is to eat 6 small meals during the day. not to starve and not to stuff.
But if no diets works for you or dosen't matter how hard you diet or exercise but your weights just won't move I can give you an alternative solutions which is a food supplement.

actually, its more advisable to excercise in the mornings, just after sunrise.
excercise is much much better than dieting, and produces more results!!
u could also consult your doc and try soem weight reduction pills, but they might have side effects
