i also have hair loss everyday and fed up of that. i want thick hair from the root and not just an illusion.
I cant say that it's due to me being overweight, as i'm of moderate stature and not overweight..

This myth is not true. However, it might be stronger. Not because shaving makes your hair stronger. But when you shave your cutting out all the damage, split ends, etc. and starting fresh.

If nutrition is a factor in your hair loss try using a hair vitamin. ]

Also, if you want to shave your head do it. Who cares what people think?

I am no expert but I remember reading in a beauty book that when you shave, it looks like the hair is growing back thick, but really it isn't and after it has completely grown back, you will find that it is still the same. It has something to do with the appearance of the first bit of hair to contrast with your skin or something... Also, every single human being loses hair everyday, thats normal, and that is why you have to brush your hair everyday to get rid of all of the hair. If you put your hair up or get it braided or something, or dont brush it for a couple of days, all of the hair that was supposed to fall out naturally each day builds up, and when you finally brush it, it seems like a lot comes out, but really, its just build up from the days that you didnt brush.

It's not true. Hair is almost cone shaped. It is thinner at the tips than at the base. So, if you cut it off at the base, you cut it off at its thickest part. That's why it seems like regrowth leads to thicker hair.

Weight does not necessarily relate to hair. I have known people with eating disorders who have suffered from hair loss and hair thinning as a result. Of course this does not relate to everyone, so if it seems like a serious problem, you should talk to your doctor.

No it's not true! It seems thicker because all you hair is growing at the same time. Just use a volumizer shampoo. Try the new silk shampoo. And blow your hair upside down.

If your hair is fine from damage, it might be a good idea to cut it all off and start over fresh. Whatever mistakes you made the first time, make sure you don't do them again!!

no, it is not true, because you only shave surface of your hair, and nothing to help the root of your hair.
