i really feel that i have a gift from God and a strong connection with him, but sometimes i feel very far way from Him at times. i feel like something major is going to happen and im not going to be ready for whatever GOd has me doing? Does anyone have advice to give?

I've been a Christian for a long time and I've learned a little about bieng one of the Lord's sheep. We can go in and out of the pasture. Sometimes we're out and when we're out we feel far away. Just get back to focusing on Him . Put Him before all the other passions of your life. Perhaps you haven't had time to sit down and have a real good talk with Him for awhile. When you are ready for some big thing in your life He'll guide you through it. Just keep your focus on Him.

one thing I must say you are absolutely right something major is about to happen very soon, and you can get prepared for it, by learning from the Bible getting accurate knowledge which can only be found in the Bible God's Word
The advice in the Bible is:"Draw close to God and he will draw close to you."(James4:8) and don't forget to talk to him every day.That means in prayer, but please also make sure that you are only pray to the one and only true God of the universe the one who is the hearer of prayer.We can be drawn to God when we consider what he has in store for humankind. He has promised to bring an end to sickness, sorrow and death. (Revelation213,4)The earth will be transformed into a Paradise,(Luke23:43)
No one will suffer depression, discouragement, or tragedy. Hunger, poverty and war will be no more.(Psalm46:9 ; 72:16)Jehovah will bring these blessings, not because he has to, but because he wants toand loves us.You can be ready for what God wants you to be doing he Tells you in the Bible how to get ready for this, but the Bible is a big book and when you first look at it it may seem daunting but if you get help from some one who has studied it, you can master the art of using and learning what the Bible says on every subject, after all it is a loving letter of instruction from God !

Talk to God, he is with you and listening all the time. Ask for his help to be ready for whatever it is that you feel he wants you to do. He will answer you in your heart and help you go in the right path. He knows exactly what you are thinking and feeling all the time, because he knows what is in your heart. God Bless you.

God gives special gifts to everyone, to bring out the true potential in every person. That's faith my friend, it has its ups and downs, everyone has doubts, all you can do then is ask questions. You can do whatever you set your mind to, God wouldn't have you do something your not capable of doing

Doing sins usually cause distance between one and their Lord so try to stay away from sinning by doing only what he likes. If you truly love somebody you will do whatever they want from you... so do what God wants you to do
