I avg about 50-60 miles a week on a paved trail, and need comfort most. I need to upgrade from my Huffy, who has been very good to me : )

Which is the best bang for your buck?

Thanks

Every review in all cycling magazines pick the Jamis products for "Bang for the Buck." So if bang for the buck is your number one search criteria then the Jamis is it.

For it's price the Trek is a good bike too, its just the parts spec. is a little lower.

So honestly i would ride both and go with the one that feels the best to you.

I looked at the CODA and I can tell you that the spec on that bike is a little bit down from the Trek 7.2...

I know from experience that the Trek feels better to A LOT of people that come in the store.

We sell an average of 7~9 a week, the bike has the right stuff at the right price - I own a 7.3FX!

I agree with the above answer. Having owned a Trek 7100 hybrid I can tell you that its not a commuting or fitness bike. Its geometry and riding position is meant for casual riding. The FX series is a better choice and geometry-wise it is comparable to the Sirrus which is also a fitness bike. The Soho on the other hand is meant to be a commuter bike. Good luck on your bike purchase and enjoy the ride!

for around 600 bucks, you could probably do better, but the Trek would be my pick...

I would also check out KHS, Specialized, and Giant.
