You are wise to be concerned. I agree that it may well be something stuck in his teeth or a mouth injury..check his mouth the best you can, particularly the roof of his mouth. He may also have a tooth abcess that would cause drooling.
If you can't find the problem,it would be wise to take him to the vet.

you need to take your dog to the vet. especially if this is not normal. it might be something dental, or a growth in the mouth. dental problems can turn into abcesses and can even over time cause damage to the liver, kidney and heart. have the vet take a look. good luck. even if you find the problem and it's not easily removed, take him to the vet. sometimes something stuck in the mouth or between the teeth is there because of another problem that is not apparent to someone who is not a professional.

first is your pug fixed? if he is not fixed it could be that he smells a female dog in heat in the area.....most dog who normaly don't drool will drool during the time when another neighboring dog is in heat, dogs with good noses can smell a female in heat up to a mile away, if this is a concern of yours get him fixed. good luck best wishes

If it just started you should have his teeth checked or he may have something caught in his teeth. Take him to the Vet.

Jittarbug is probably correct on this. Get your animals fixed.
