Cop A Plea-

Hooray for you
You have a calm head on your shoulders
Shield yourself
For they have simply not reached you yet
Running wont help because then you wont be free
The ghosts they dont haunt you yet
But once they get inside your head
There is no way to shoo them out
Who are these ghosts you ask me
The ghosts are the people who keep us all on our knees
The people who slur a good name
The people who would be better off dead
But maybe we'll be alright
If we dont sell our souls for the things that seem grand
And side step theyre trail into a dark greed induced land.

I've been writing for some time now and I'm just wondering what you all think of my "poem" I hope you enjoy it.
Please give me your feedback on it...
Ashley~

I like this one better than the love poem you posted. There's some anger, some sarcasm, and some good ol' fashioned telling of the truth to someone's face when they're too stubborn to hear it.

Poetry, much like beauty is something that each person perceives differently. Some people will say they loved it so you can pick their answer, but some really do like it, and that's good.

I myself am still in the middle. I think they are good but not extraordinary. Still, poetry, like many other things in life, is a work in progress, so I wish you the best of luck with this.
