Technically yes. Let's presume you need 2500 calories a day to keep that 180, and each pound of fat has about 3500 calories, technically you could do it.

Now, if you were to ask is that in any way healthy, or doable... nope. Make a real goal. Shoot for a BMI of say 23.

I think it's possible. If you eat about 1250 calories, or even a little more, snack quite a bit during the day, so that your body does not go into starvation mode and make you want to gorge food down. I've been buying the weight watchers tv dinners and lean cuisine. The portion sizes are small and it makes calorie counting easier. Weight watchers even has really good deserts.eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink a lot of water, treat yourself every once in a while and cut out soda. Do cardio about 5 times a week 30 to 45 minutes progressively raising resistance to burn more calories and build muscle, do crunches, a couple of different kinds. Weight train a couple of days a week. I've lost about 25 pounds in the last two and a half months doing this. I've been skimping on the weight lifting, so I'm starting it again. Make sure to not starve yourself as your body will start canibalizing itself eating up muscle and your metabolism will lower.

Horrible Idea... Not to mention it is extremely dangerous. Losing weight is good, however losing weight quickly, or more than you should, is bad.

in order to lose weight in a healthy manner, you need to lose about 1-2 pounds (of fat. Losing muscle and other mass is BAD) a week. Quick weight loss deprives the body of minerals and things that it needs, and can KILL someone. If you focus on the weight you want to be, you will often lose weight faster than you should. Focus on losing the small amount of weight every week.

Also, depending on your height and body structure, 120 or 130 may be extremely dangerous. I am a big guy, and by my BMI (BMI doesnt take into account anything but weight and height and is often innaccurate for atheletes) it tells me I am obese by a lot. But, I am a football player and power lifter, so most of my weight is muscle and bone mass. (My body fat percentage is actually low). It would be exceedingly dangerous for someone like me to get to 130 (I'm 6'2'' 300lbs).

Look into this, some people just can't be that light, and it can be really bad for them. Before you are looking to lose that much weight, realize that if you arn't careful when you do it you can do some major harm to your body. See a nutritionist and make sure you are getting what your body needs when you plan to lose that much weight.

Also, ask your doctor if he/she feels it is healthy for you to lose that much weight. Some people are not made to be that light, especially if they are tall.
