YOu can call it that, but nobody will care. Sorry, but that's the case.

Also, in real life, even when there's a harrassment that somebody would care, unless it makes you job undoable, its better to grin and drive one because you won't be able to work at a firm you've turned your boss in at, and if you move on from a job where you sued your boss, other bosses will see it as a black mark even if you were obviously justified.

Think about it, who do you want working for you: SOmeone who's never sued their boss, or someone who has.

SOrry life is like that, but it is.

Not only can you call it harrassment, you can call it a hostile work environment which is against the law. Perhaps you could explain that to him .. If he doesnt take the hint, you are within your rights to file a complaint with the state and he'll have to pay.

Absolutely. I would be careful not to bring too much of your personal Christian life into the workplace, but if you aren't, then his mocking you religion is completely unprofessional. Just in case people are being rude on here, I'm in no way Christian so I would consider myself an unbiased judge.

Absolutely. When I decided to marry a Muslim man I was badgered constantly by a born again Christian at work. Finally I had to tell our boss to talk her because it was affecting my ability to work with her.

Yes you can. He should know better. At least talk to him in private and tell him how you feel. Maybe he is doing this because you are shoving your religion down his throat? If not him, maybe your co-workers? Make sure you know the underlying cause before you make a big deal out of it.

You can call just about anything in the workplace harassment if you can think of any sort of half-plausible way it could be offensive.

Your example, though, sounds like legitimate abuse. I would try to handle by just talking to him, letting him know you don't like it first, if you haven't already. No reason to get people fired if maybe he just doesn't know you're insulted (although he should be more professional if he's your boss).

Yes I should say so, just make sure that you don’t wait to long to file a complaint with your HR department and file a written complaint. If you don’t get any where you can file a complaint with the EEOC and they will come in and investigate on your behalf. You can go to this web site and get more information

What kind of a jerk would make fun of someone else's religion? Besides Christians making fun of Muslims, I mean. And Jews, of course. And they really hate the Satanists. Oh, and the comments on here about Wiccans being devil worshippers, yeah, that's a Christian Classic.

But you shouldn't have to listen to any comments about your religion. I say raise a stink about it!
