I don't see anything wrong with wanting to be with God where there is love and a glorious Heaven with family, friends and my whiskered angels. I'm not suicidal but pray each day that I'm allowed to go home to God. The physical world seems superficial, pointless and I no longer have any goals or needs.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be where we perceive love to be, but do not close the door on this life as happiness might be right around the corner.

Please seek guidance with your spiritual leader as I sense a great despair in you. They should be able to guide you with your question. Take care.

i think if your expecting an answer you may wait an awful long time. you don't specify your age but i find it incredible that you have come to a point where you no longer have goals or needs- like have you figured everything out- you know the meaning to life , the universe and everything, somehow i doubt it and even if you have why not take the time to share your insights with others, as the saying goes "its better to journey than it is to arrive". you sound depressed- talk to someone about how you feel, to wish death upon yourself is extremely selfish- i doubt there are any rewards in heaven for someone with a death wish, .

No, and God understands what you are going through, it is part of your life. Just talk to him and keep talking to him. He knows what is best for you and will always be there. He has a time for you to come back to be with him. Just accept that and look for happiness and stop complaining like Job did. Maybe too that is why it all seems that way. Maybe you should try to look for the best in everything, not the bad. Things could always be worse for you than they are.

your dialog with god should be open and truthful.

however, remember that God does not always give us what we think we want.

why don't you ask Him for the stregnth to live.

perhaps if you made a effort to help someone every day, to try to make someone smile every day, to make your life an example that others could learn from, you may find that your world is not pointless and that you do have goals and that others need you and you do have something to live for.

The prayer you should be praying is "God, for whatever reason you have kept me alive for another day may be a mystery to me but I know YOU know why you want me here. You should be asking HIM HIS purpose for you being here and don't question when you wake up every morning. Just be thankful. He has the ultimate Plan and it is HE who will reveal it to you as you seek HIM. He is the only one who sees the big picture and what He has in store for us. Don't give up. Trust Him. He has you here for a reason.

If you have no goals and can't see your needs you are suffering from depression, or religious dillusions. Notice most truly religious people are extremely active. Inactivity and wanting to die are not signs of true religion. Look in the bible. Notice the active lifestyles.

My guess is that you are depressed and should seek counseling from somebody you trust.

And they wonder why us atheists speak out against religion. I give you exhibit A..this question.

This life is the only one you get, make the best of it! Make your own goals in life and do what you can to make people happy. You will get great joy from helping others.

If you are so depressed that you don't find joy in life, or in helping others then seek help. Science has provided us with medicines to make you better.

If you really love God you'd strive to better this world that He has bestowed us with. It is not superficial if you know the meaning of it--to live God's will. He will take you when it is best for you and God KNOWS best.

"It takes courage to die! But sometimes it takes more courage to live."
