Please. Use the wax.
Personal experience here. Clippers and wire cutters DO NOT WORK. The dentist has 'special' cutters to cut the titanium wire. Annoying but true. Call first thing in the morning to get an appointment to avoid an unnecessary mouth ulcer. Ouchy Wouchy.

if you cant feed it thru the bracket they do have wire snips or ortho in the toothpaste section at the drugstore. you can press the back of a spoon on it to make it bent so it wont poke until you get into the dr or use the wax.. if you feel you must snip it use the proper cutters. can u get to a dentist before hand.. you can try to pull the wire like a needle thru thread but its best to have it snipped by a pro ..

I don't think nail clippers are strong enough to cut the wire. The wire is pretty thick. Use the wax provided to you and make an appointment as soon as possible to have it clipped.

there is wax that you can buy in the dental section - put the wax on the sharp point until you can get to the dentist to have it snipped a little. Dont try it yourself. You can wreck stuff, and it can get expensive, fast. Plus, putting a fingernail clipper into your mouth is discusting.

Buy paraffin wax and put it at the end of your braces. It's not toxic if you swallow it, it's very cheap, and really protects you against the pain. You can buy it at any drugstore.

ok. what u should do is just push or bend the end of the wire into an area where it wont scratch you.

not if you don't want to hurt yourself and get your orthodontist and your parents mad at you.

tell your folks to call your dentist/orthodontist and have him take a look at things. they have special tools to do this sort of thing
