Okay, My Hair is a little more than shoulder length, Thick, Curly, frizzy, and basically a big mess. I'm trying to find out if there's anything different I can do with it because for the past couple of years I've just been scrunching it with mousse and wearing it down, or in some type of bun. I really want to try some type of new style or a new cut or anything. I started straightening it, but it takes almost two hours to straighten, and I just don't have that kind of time, and living in Texas the humidity brings out any and every frizz in my hair, so it's very rare that i am able to flat iron it. Basically what I'm asking is, do you have any ideas for a new style, or just some ideas to make my hair work better...???

I wish somebody had let me know about catwalk, curls rock when I was a bristle brusher in school. I use to be the ugliest...Nevermind. Spray some biolage hydrating spray on wet hair and use that catwalk stuff. Try to keep it off of your scalp if you are sensitive (dandruff) but let me tell ya, curly and soft!

you could try to chemically straighten your hair at the salon..works like a perm however this one will keep your hair straight! Doesn't cost much up here in Canada...must cost less in Texas! Try it out, then you dont have to worry about it curling back up after long hard hours or working your arm tired when straightening your hair with a flat iron. Another thing is if you have great curls keep em, people LOVE curls!!! you could also try to cut it short if you don't mind giving away the length for a couple of months, try it a little shorter...or try to grow it longer so that it weights down more and is not so curly?!
Good luck anyways, but personally id chemically straighten it..it lasts a long time, i guess depending on how fast or slow your hair grows..about a year i guess

I hear ya sister. I have thick curly hair too. I use a product called curls rock, It's made by Cat Walk!!! For frizzyness I use frizzease volume reducer. My hair can get dry to so I use nexxus shampoo and conditioner, I also use infusium spray. Another thing that works great is a hair difusser which hooks on to end of your hair dryer. with all these things you should be set!!! Good luck

First, I would go to a salon and have them thin your hair, that in itself would be a major improvement. Next, I would have it professionally straightened and layered somewhat. Pick a hairstyle that you like from a magazine and ask the hairstylist if they think the style would suit you.
