Very complicated problem. I've known this girl a year now, when we started hanging out a year ago she had a b/f and that lasted for about 6 months. She got pregnant by her bf, confided in me and said she was going to have an abortion. After she had it she wouldn't talk to me for 3 mothns. Now we're talking again but I cant read her. She says she likes me and every time we get drunk she cries and says I'm the kind of guy she wants to marry in like 5 years, but every time we actually talk about our feelings she proceeds to not speak to me for a week. She's spent the night a few times and being a gentlement, I would always let her have the bed and I'd sleep on the floor or couch. Last week she got mad at me when she woke up and realized I left her on the couch and went to bed by myself. I don't know if she's just confused or likes messing with my head. I won't even date any other girls who want me because I want her and she knows I do. Should I give up or what? I'm so confused!

Just adding this to see if it reposts and I can get a few more opinions. Things are basically the same. her aunt (who told me before to leave her alone and quit trying) told me last night that she was shocked at the fact she spoke with her and I was actually making progress... whatever that means. I feel like an idiot posting this but I can't even sleep anymore because I lay in bed running 100 scenarios through my head. I plan on sitting her down the next time I get her alone and just saying point blank wtf do you want. probablly a bad idea but I'm going bonkers.

yea she seems kind of kooky. she's been throught some ****, and its ****** her up. you can't really save people, no matter how hard you try. it's up to her. if i were you i'd let it go. maybe when shes more stable she'll get back in touch with you.

Sounds like you need to step up to the plate. You can't be a gentlemen the whole time. If you like her, and she knows it, and if she is spending the night then you need to make that first move. Jump out there with both feet and feel no fear of losing her. It sounds like you are already miserable wanting her and not getting her, so you need to make the effort. If you do not take the chance you will never get anywhere. Take the chance you have nothing to lose except a drunk girl sleeping on your couch, and you have everything to gain a possible life partner.
Believe me this girl wants you to step up and take charge. All you have to do is the next time she spends the night, give her the bed, but stay in the bed with her. Then give her a hug goodnight, and things will work themselves out.

Worse comes to worse, just ignore her and wait for her to call you. You ignoring her sounds like the completly oppisite thing that you should do, but it will make her feel like you are not that interested, which in turn will make her more interested in you.

This reminds me of Forrest Gump and Jenny for some reason, lol.
Anyway. It sounds like things are pretty messed up for her. I'd calmly talk to her about this. She seems to confide in you, so just hear her out, it sounds like she just needs someone there for her. Give it a little more time, but if it gets too much for you, ask her for a direct answer. It's not fair to you to be played with like that. Good luck.

gosh thats really complicated...well, seems like she is hella confused herself, i mean when she get drunk she says she likes you, even though she was high and all while saying those things, but it does mean something. Maybe she was thinking all this in her head and you said she confides in you that shows that definately you are kind of guy with whom she feels comfortable and feel close to. maybe she likes you but afraid of commitment as her previous relationship did not worked out.
I guess she needs some time. don't give up on her as you seems to be pretty into her...

it seems that she is having problems because of the abortion things that is normal u have 2 have patience and give her the time i think she loves u and still u show her that u care give her the support she needs if u are in with love her show it ,tell her that u care she seems to be a good person and she scarified for u with her baby to be with u so give her time and she will relax in a no time
